“The girl who wants to fly”: Exploring the role of digital technology in enhancing dialogic reading

Research suggests that dialogic reading and wordless picture books may improve narrative production comprehension leading to better school readiness. We aim understand children’s experiences using a book scaffolded by audio prompts. designed, implemented assessed the Spring-a-story web app with 35 children aged 3 6 in socio-economically-disadvantaged area UK. sought comprehend what extent application supports creating narrative, which type of prompts (basic theory mind prompts) support their meaningful responses.
